Found a couple of article on competencies for Nursing Informatics.

Worked on RAP session for Thursday. Student is interested in growth of Town of Boone and related issues, future of Boone. (No Planning subject guide or list of databases, by the way.) It’s just a Business Writing class. (Run-off election is today.) I should have him talk to Jeffrey Scott and Jeff Templeton, but he says he has interviews lined up with town officials.

What else I should be doing : e-Resource usage data, 2 reports for Nursing/Cody/Abbott, prepare for FS class next Tuesday.

Saturday, November 3 (4)

No game today. I’m working my first Saturday (1:00-5:00pm). I just want to get this blog started today. I’ve kept a log in the past, but I started in a new position on Thursday. So I want to try again in this format. This afternoon has had some activity at times. Slow these last hours.

Friday: RAP with GHY grad student (effects of lighting on campus safety and crime; GIS and methods), R&I meeting, looking into “teaching nursing informatics” for DebC. Lunch with JA,GD, and AS, since I’m am no longer in CD team.

Thursday: RAP with freshman who is writing a serious ENG1000 paper on elbow reconstruction surgery. (I cannot remember what else I did–probably looking at nursing informatics. I had computer problems that morning until LL fixed my phone wire in my new office.)
